I never understood why clubs have the upper
hand with the dancers when the dancer themselves
makes the clubs everday profits. If it was
not for the girls a strip club cannot survive.
So where do they come up with the girls
paying the club house fees for their everday
operations. It is the dancers that need
to be on stage and ready as soon as the
doors are open and the dancers that entertain
the men to satisfy their stay. It is beyond
me girl! I think all dancers need to protest
for "Dancer Lib". What's fair
is fair. We, dancers work for hard for our
money to be giving it away to a club that
overprices drinks, champaigne rooms, and
covercharges. There is a fine line between
being greedy and overly greedy. That is
why you hardly ever see a frown on a owner's
face. The clubs have also the nerve to ask
for late fees and no-show fees. So if you
don't have a docters note you get fined
$25 for not suppling them your service.
Always remeber we are independent contractors
and have the right to work any club we want.
So if your not happy mooooove on. Use your
dancer power. They always say there is another
to fill your spot, but deep down inside
they are terrified of losing you to the
club down the street.

not saying club not saying names, but can
you believe in this club i worked at the
guy has to buy you a split ( $20 ) before
doing a lap dance? if he doesnt buy you
a drink, you cant do a lap dance. i was
shocked to death.
plus, you have to pay the manager (10$)
dj (10$ or more) bouncer, usually two (4$)
which i may add, the bouncers are always
eating sh!t, waitress (3$).
btw, this club in south florida.

I have to agree, house fees are a joke...especially
in the club I work at. But, I guess I'm
a glutton for punishment, I love the girls
(and my regulars) I don't want to leave.
Our house fees are $25 for "stage lease",
$5 every time you take someone for a private
couch dance, $10 to the DJ, and $4 to each
bouncer ( we usually have 3 ). Private dances
cost the guys $15 for the first song, $10
every song after. I've taken my regular
back four times in a night and I got charged
$20. One girl had 10 privates one night,
which is pretty good...until she said they
were all for one song. So, of her $150,
she gave $50 to the house, on top of her
$25 stage, $10 DJ, $12 3-bouncers. Nothing
like bustin your butt to give it all to
the house.

I understand how annoying paying house fees
is! However, we have to remember that we
are being given a safe, clean environment
to work in, and have access to dressing
rooms. Clubs also make gettting customers
easy. Paying a house fee may not be fun,
but it's just an expense of the job. If
you worked for yourself it would take a
lot more work to get customers, you would
need to get your own bouncers... Clubs may
be making a killing, but they sure help
dancers make money! Fair or not, paying
a house fee is a better deal than not having
all of the conveniences clubs provide.

Maybe they should have set house fees that
include the DJ's, bouncer, and all others
tips&fees combined. It really is not
fair when you need to give the DJ 10% of
your nights earnings because the DJ himself
counts all the dances and tips your making
but does not realize all the other tips
we need to spare. For example, if I made
$250 that means 25 goes to the house and
another 25 to the DJ, 6 to bouncer not to
mention all 10 x $5=50 for private dances.
I agree that they do supply us with a safe
enviroment but how much should it cost the
hard working dancers. If they charge house
fees they should not charge $5 for every
private dance. One or the other because
at the end of the night just when you thought
you had a great night half of the money
is gone. What about our bills and rent,
we have to make a living and that car payment
to even get to work.

club owners should evaluate this situation.
if not taking off your clothes is demeaning
enough but getting paid for it. i am a college
student and this is the job that best fits
my schedule but would like to be more rewarded
for my dancing days. i work 3 days a week(9
hour shift) mainly on the weekends with
100 other dancers on the same shift. basically,
i turned to this job thinking i would be
financially satisfied but when i bring home
100 dollars in a night [sure it beats working
at McD's] i divide that by 9 hours and see
i only made 11 dollars an hour. waitresses
sometimes make more tips than i do because
there is only 5 waitresses next to 100 dancers
fighting for 40 customers. i am thinking
of getting waitress experience so i will
no longer have to take my clothes and feel
good about myself at the end of the night.

Son of a gun I did not know that you girls
had to pay so much to dance , I knew that
you gave 10 or 20 bucks to the dj cus he
is the one that plays all of your favorites
songs ,but to pay the bouncers and the waitresses
don't they get tips from the customers???
,and to pay the club to work ,,that sucks
and I can't believe that some of you have
to give the house a percent that you make
in the backroom giving lapdances , thats
effin crazy, how can a manager know how
many lapdances you made , sometimes you
and the customer sit there and talk for
like 15 minutes ,, is just crazy that you
have to give so much money to the house
,specialy that you have to deal with lots
of Aholes and drunks touching you ,you ladies
ROCK

All customers think we have the best job
in the world. They always say: If I were
a girl I would dance in a heartbeat! They
just don't know!!! Not to mention, atleast
half of our tips go to our wardrobe, make-up,
tanning, nail salon, and a few of us that
spend a little on massages. Add all that
up and it does not take a rocket scientist
to see how much we spend on our bare essentials
to be a dancer, plus go to work and pay
all the outragous tip-outs.

a fee to use the clubs facility? im baffled
because the dancers should charge the clubs
for their entertainment services. the girls
do have a point and they work hard for their
money. tips to the dj, bouncer, and waitresses
are understandable but to the house? why?

This is for all of you girls who are forced
to tip out bouncers, djs, and waitresses.
It is illegal!!! The only way a club can
take your money is for you to have signed
an entertainer contract. It will usually
state the price of you "rent"
and "damages". I work in Oklahoma
and I believe the owner of the club is on
the board for the the gentleman's club expos.
He does EVERTHING by the book. Our rent
is $10.00 and our damages are $20 for late
$40 for no show and they cap at $40. It
is suggested you tip the dj 10 percent but
legally you can not force someone to tip.
Do some digging.

Post subject: HOUSE FEES!!!! TRY THE BEER
FEES
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok some I am a club regular and day after
day considering I go everyday Im suckered
into 5.25-5.75 $ beers... OMG !!! its killing
me.. I could drink for years on what I pay
to drink at the clubs for one month.. Thank
god for retarded guys like me And I still
pay to get in.. so when your paying for
your drinks house fees seem small in comparison
hehe though they do suck because my girl
has to pay them at both clubs she works
at for day shift and nite shift! blah....

$100 does not last long in a strip club.
Within i say, 45 min, my 100 I walked through
the door with is in the cash register and
in the girls garter. Then I always catch
myself at the ATM getting more, more, and
more. One night I had gotten so drunk where
I had one of the dancer punch in my PIN
because I couldnt even find the numbers
on that DAMN machine.
